When does your NRSWA card expire?

NRSWA Training Courses

Is your NRSWA card about to expire? You can renew your NRSWA streetworks card up to 6 months prior to the expiry date and up to a max of 3 months after the expiry date.

When the time comes to complete the re assessment we have a couple of different options available for delegates. We advise that delegates complete the refresher training then sit the test papers. This is so that you can refresh your knowledge and brush up on any new legislation. If you do not want to do the refresher training you do not have too and can complete just the re test papers. The re test consists of 10 multiple choice questions per unit, there is a time limit of 30 minutes per unit.

We have centres running the NRSWA re assessment UK wide with different options. You can easily book your place today online on our website.

If you have any questions before you book you can phone our training team on 0845 130 7411.

Kind Regards,

PSS Training Team

If you have a full card, you can go on a reassessment course, find your nearest centre and date here. If you’ve just got the signing, lighting and guarding unit, it’s often more cost-effective to go on the course again you can find your nearest operative dates here or supervisor dates here.

Can you still work if you card has expired by only 2 days

      Hi Mark,

You aren’t supposed to work on an expired card at all. There’s no longer a ‘grace period’ that there used to be.

Depending on the work you’re doing you could check with your local council/authority, they might allow you to work if someone else on site has their card, but that’s less and less common nowadays.

      Hi Stuart,

It seems as if your colleagues NRSWA cards are due to expire in November 2018. What I would advise is for your colleagues to take the NRSWA Streetworks Re Assessment course, which is a short course lasting for a day.

In addition, the customer service team will email you shortly, giving further, in-depth details of the course.

Here at Project Skills Solutions we aim to provide you with the learning experience possible and want to help you every step of the way!

      Kind regards,

      Hi Rodger,

If it’s just a new card you need you can order a replacement from SWQR, give them a call on 0345 270 2720.

If it’s expiring in the next year you can sit a reassessment course, I’ll get the team to email you some information.

      Hi Thomas,
Streetworks changed the rules this year so you can take a reassessment up to 5 years after it expires now. However, I’m not sure of the rules in the Republic of Ireland. I’ll ask my colleague to email you.
      Thanks, Sam

      Hi Kevin,

If you live in Scotland as well as work there and your card is registered there you should be able to call up and get a new one.

If you live and are registered in England you will have to attend the re-assessment course.
